New Vodafone Rs 169 Open Market Prepaid Plan Introduced With 1GB Data and Unlimited Calling

New Vodafone Rs 169 Open Market Prepaid Plan Introduced With 1GB Data and Unlimited Calling

Following the footsteps of Bharti Airtel, UK-based telecom service provider, Vodafone, has now introduced a new open market prepaid plan of Rs 169. Same as Airtel’s Rs 169 plan, Vodafone’s plan also comes with similar benefits. The Rs 169 prepaid plan from Vodafone offers unlimited voice calling (comes with a daily and weekly cap), 1GB data and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. Notably, this plan is valid for all the Vodafone prepaid customers out there. Since the telco already removed talk time recharges, this recharge comes as a relief for many as it falls under the unlimited plans category, meaning it’ll expand your account validity too. For the unaware, Vodafone Idea recently introduced a minimum recharge scheme, which as the name itself suggests, forces users to perform a recharge for every 28 days. Otherwise, the telco will remove the incoming and outgoing calling facility.

Vodafone Rs 169 Prepaid Plan Benefits in Detail

As mentioned above, Vodafone has matched Bharti Airtel with the benefits of the Rs 169 plan. Vodafone is giving unlimited voice calling with a cap of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Furthermore, Vodafone is also capping the voice calls to 100 unique numbers during the entire validity period.

Coming to the data benefit, Vodafone is providing 1GB of data for 28 days, and it’s not 1GB daily data. So you’ll have to settle down with 1GB data for the entire 28 days validity. Lastly, users will also get 100 SMS per day benefit. That said, Vodafone used to offer Rs 159 prepaid plan earlier and the same has been modified to Rs 169.

The plan is valid for 28 days from the date of recharge and it’s valid in all the circles. We have the plan’s availability in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Chennai and other telecom circles as well.

Vodafone Rs 169 Prepaid Plan vs Jio’s Rs 149 Plan

As it’s clearly known, Vodafone has introduced this prepaid plan to take on Jio’s Rs 149 plan, which has been one of the best-prepaid plans under Rs 150 since the start of 2018. However, Vodafone fails to beat Jio as the Mukesh Ambani-owned telco is giving unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit, 100 SMS per day and 1GB of 4G data for 28 days.

Vodafone Rs 169 Prepaid Plan vs Airtel Rs 169 Plan

Like Vodafone, Airtel is offering the Rs 169 plan for prepaid users in all the circles with similar benefits. Airtel is giving 1GB of data along with unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day for a period of 28 days.

Vodafone Also Unveiled 1.5GB Daily Data Plans

A few days ago, Vodafone has unveiled its entire range of 1.5GB daily data plans starting at Rs 209. Vodafone now has three plans offering 1.5GB data per day, and they are Rs 209, Rs 479 and Rs 529. The Rs 209 plan offers benefits for 28 days, followed by the Rs 479 with 84 days validity and Rs 529 plan which is valid for 90 days. The telco also introduced a slew of other prepaid plans such as Rs 279, Rs 189 and Rs 109. In addition, Vodafone also came up with other recharges such as Rs 189 and Rs 279. Except for the 1.5GB daily data plans, other prepaid plans from Vodafone are for segmented users.
