New Real Life Pictures of Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro Surface Online, Shows Waterdrop Notch Display
Xiaomi is working on several smartphones to launch in 2019. The year is expected to start with the 48MP phone that the company executive teased a weeks ago. The 48MP phone has likely got a name now and could be called Redmi 2 Pro. Alongside this, the company is also working on the Redmi 7 series which include three phones — Redmi 7, Redmi 7A and Redmi 7 Pro. Out of the three phones, the Redmi 7 Pro is going to be the most interesting one. Beginning this week, the Redmi 7 Pro made its way to the TENNA benchmarking site and now some of the real-life pictures of the phone have surfaced online. The pictures confirm some of the already known details. It shows the Redmi 7 Pro with waterdrop style notched display, this makes it the first for Xiaomi. Let’s check out other details.
Redmi 7 Pro: Specifications and Features
The TENNA listing had revealed almost all the key specs of the Redmi 7 Pro. Alongside TENNA, the Redmi phone was also spotted on the 3C listing. The leaked real life pictures of the Redmi 7 Pro comes from Tech microblogger Bang Gogo where the phone is seen kept next to the retail box with the name Redmi 7 Pro mentioned on it. Alongside the pictures, Russian YouTuber Andro News leaked a video showing the Redmi 7 Pro from the front side. None of the pictures or the video shows the phone from the back, but going by what TENNA suggest the Redmi 7 Pro will not be very different from the Redmi 6 Pro. It is expected to sport the same camera setup as the 6 Pro.
The pictures just show the phone with waterdrop style notch, but the YouTube video confirms come of the specs details of the Redmi 7 Pro. It suggests that the Redmi 7 Pro will come with a 5.84-inch display and the waterdrop notch will equip the selfie camera on it — there will be just one — while the earpiece and the sensors will be hidden and won’t be visible from the outside.
Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro to Sport a Smaller Battery
The video reveals that the Redmi 7 Pro will be slimmer than the Redmi 6 Pro. It will measure around 7.8mm in thickness. Sadly, the Redmi 7 Pro is expected to be backed by a much smaller battery than the Redmi 6 Pro. The predecessor packed a 4000mah battery, but the 7 Pro is said to sport a 2900mAh battery. On the hardware front, the Redmi 7 Pro is said to use Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 632 chipset. To recall, the Redmi 6 Pro was powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor. This is surely a step up as the Snapdragon 632 is the direct successor to Snapdragon 625 SoC which we have seen in various smartphones.
The video further reveals that the Redmi 7 Pro will come with three variants — 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded to 256GB via microSD card.
