New Poco F1 Armoured Edition Now Comes With 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage, Priced at Rs 23,999

Yesterday, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco teased a New Poco smartphone which made us wonder what the company has in store for us. The wait is now over as Poco has now launched the Poco F1 Armoured Edition in 6GB+128GB variant. Earlier, the Poco F1 Armoured Edition was available only in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, but going forward, it will be available in two variants. The 6GB+128GB version of Poco F1 can be purchased on Flipkart and Mi.com for Rs 23,999 starting today. The 8GB+256GB storage variant was priced at Rs 29,999- a Rs 1,000 higher than the standard 8GB+256GB option. Poco did not reveal whether the new variant will be available in the offline stores or not.

Poco F1 Armoured Edition: What is it?

Poco launched the Armoured Edition of Poco F1 back in August. At the launch event, the company touted the Kevlar back used on the Armoured Edition is way more durable than the glass, but the sad part is it doesn’t look as good as glass smartphones. The Kevlar back on the Armoured Edition feels different compared to the soft back on the other variants of the Poco F1, which makes the whole difference. However, to purchase that, users have to shell out Rs 29,999. But that has gone now as Poco has brought an Armoured Edition at a lower price of Rs 23,999.

Notably, the 6GB+128GB variant of the Poco F1 in other colour options- Graphite Black, Rosso Red, Steel Blue is currently available for purchase at Rs 22,999. Once the discount offer ends, the price of the standard 6GB+128GB variant goes back to Rs 23,999.

Poco F1: Specifications and Features

The Poco F1 is Xiaomi’s answer to OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones since it features flagship specifications at a much lower price. The Poco F1 rocks a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display on the front, Snapdragon 845 SoC underneath, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, dual rear cameras of 12MP+5MP, 20MP front-facing camera and a 4000mAh battery.

The Poco F1 recently received Android 9 Pie-based stable MIUI 10 update which brought various new features to the smartphone.

Poco F1 Price in India Reduced as Well

Poco’s first smartphone became an instant hit owing to its affordable price tag and incredible specifications. Within four months of release, Poco managed to sell seven lakh units and to celebrate the milestone, the company announced a Rs 1,000 price cut on the base variant. The 6GB+64GB variant of Poco F1 received a permanent price cut and is now available for Rs 19,999.

Other variants of the Poco F1 are also available at discounted prices right now on the occasion of Christmas. The standard 6GB+128GB variant is available at Rs 22,999, 8GB+256GB option at Rs 26,999 and the 8GB Armoured Edition model can be purchased for Rs 27,999.
